During President Xi Jinping's third term in office, the Chinese university system is undergoing a major overhaul, under the close supervision of the Ministries of Public Security (MPS or Gonganbu) and State Security (MSS or Guoanbu). The goal is to ensure that universities increasingly serve the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
