The Chinese embassy in the United Kingdom (2/2) – With the absence of its ambassador weakening China's representation in London, Beijing is still waiting for the UK government to greenlight its plans to build a new embassy. The future complex, presented as a symbol of bilateral rapprochement but seen by many as a national security risk, is embarrassing the prime minister's office.
