Aged 58, Dmitri Pavlichenko these days devotes some of his free time to the veterans' association Chest ('honour' in Russian), of which he is president. The work is no cushy number for the retired colonel, who was one of the cogs in President Alexander Lukashenko's repressive system until the end of his active service in 2009.
