Philippe Chose has left his post as second in command of the French administration's interceptions service GIC (Groupement Interministériel de Contrôle) to lead the technical division of the internal intelligence agency, DGSI (Direction Générale de la Sécurité Intérieure), at a time of complex relations between the two services.
