Part 1: Swiss pillar of Russian finance Horizon Capital AG struggles with Moscow assets

Worried about the legal repercussions of the war in Ukraine, investors on the Swiss financial market have been trying to detach themselves from their Russian ties. One such company, asset manager Horizon Capital AG, is embroiled in Moscow litigations with former clients who do not meet current compliance criteria.

Worried about legal repercussions since the start of the war in Ukraine, investors have been disentangling themselves from their Russian ties on the Swiss financial market. Like Horizon Capital AG and its sister company SCCF which found themselves owed money by one of Russia's most powerful businessmen, Mikhail Gutseriev, who is now under Western sanctions.

Louis-Dreyfus escapes the clutches of the Russian asset recovery agency

Louis-Dreyfus Company, which claimed that the International Bank of Saint Petersburg made abusive debt claims against it, has won its case before an English court. The verdict marks yet another setback for Russian state body Deposit Insurance Agency, which is trying to recover the bank's assets, and a victory for Louis-Dreyfus chairwoman Margarita Louis-Dreyfus.
