Xi Jinping demotes two protégés of his former VP Wang Qishan

Former anti-corruption chief Wang Qishan reappeared on 17 August at Jiang Zemin's centennial celebration but his last two protégés were removed from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection just five days later. Intelligence Online understands that an investigation into Wang had already begun in 2022 within the corridors of CICC, the bank he founded.
