China stock market watchdog attempts purge without further harming financial system

The China Securities Regulatory Commission's new boss, Wu Qing, is using the major investment bank CICC as a guinea pig. He is trying to bring the financial sector back under the heel of the CCP, while avoiding causing a crash.
