Ethereal allies password retrieval with crypto-currency mining
The small Australian firm Ethereal offers low-priced computers that can crack passwords and general virtual currency revenue.
The DGSE (Direction Generale de la Securite Exterieure) is France’s external intelligence service. Operating all over the world, the agents of its operations department, or DO, and intelligence department, DR, have distinguished themselves recently in Africa and the Middle East. The service’s technical department, or DT, is France’s dedicated interceptions service, like Britain’s GCHQ or the NSA in the US.
Although many MPs are in favour of it, the creation of a permanent parliamentary economic security committee does not have the unanimous support of LREM MPs, who recently passed an amendment that will prevent it from treading on the toes of the parliamentary intelligence committee.
A report recently submitted to the French government on the sovereignty of geographical data stresses the role that the French geographical institute IGN can play in helping the French intelligence services, as it aims to become their leading GEOINT partner.
