Although not royals themselves, members of the Al Mubarak clan are the Al Nahyan ruling family's closest advisers. As well as showcasing Abu Dhabi to the world, siblings Khaldoon, Razan and Mohammed each oversee areas of utmost importance to the emirate.

The rare Abu Dhabi official to have made a cameo in a US series, in this case the 2022 drama WeCrashed about the rise and fall of a co-working startup, Khaldoon Al Mubarak dons several hats within the inner circle of UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MbZ).

Famous worldwide for being the chairman of Manchester City football club - whose owner, MbZ's brother Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was involved in many financial scandals few years ago - the eldest Al Mubarak sibling is MbZ's éminence
