Mohd Razali Alias's job as head of Malaysian military intelligence is focused on modernising the service and protecting his country's sovereignty, while also striking the right balance with the political powers that be.

General Mohd Razali Alias has been at the head of the Malaysian Defence Intelligence Organisation (MDIO) since 1 December 2023, tasked like his predecessor Ahmad Norihan bin Jalal with transforming an agency historically geared towards countering the communist insurgency into a key player in protecting Malaysia's sovereignty.
