All over the world, spies like to meet in favourite spots where discreet conversations and chance meetings can occur. This week Intelligence Online visits the emblematic Einstein UdL in Berlin, a city where spying is making something of a comeback.
Thanks to Germany's Federal Intelligence Service, the BND, making its new home in the city in 2019, and the war in Ukraine, Berlin is once again becoming a European capital of spying, as it was during the Cold War.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Check Point Charlie became a tourist attraction and for a while spying in the city came to lose
