Whoever replaces the late Pope Francis will be forced to address a conspicuous flaw in his anti-corruption reforms. Despite new statutes setting time limits on senior office-holders at the Institute for the Works of Religion (IOR), the regulations have been flouted, including by the bank's president. He says its succession processes remain transparent.
