Bracing for a new US administration, Iraq's national security adviser reputedly close to Tehran, Qasim al-Araji, was recently sent to the Iranian capital with the delicate mission of protecting Iran's security while sparing US interests on the other.

Imerys looks for support in Astana for its strategic rare minerals plans

Alongside the French industrial groups which have long been present in Kazakhstan, smaller new ones are forging their own connections with industry minister and ex-national economic development company boss Kanat Sharlapaev. Among the latter is rare minerals producer Imerys.
