Paris and Dassault in push to sell Rafale fighters

Still reeling from the effects of the AUKUS defence pact, Paris now hopes to restore its image by finding new buyers for its Rafale fighter jets. A deal with New Dehli appears to be on track and Dassault is hoping Abu Dhabi will follow suit.

Alstom faces anti-corruption risk in wake of French court ruling in favour of ex-China agent

France's Cour de Cassation recently invalidated a Paris appeals court ruling ordering the Hong Kong company Alexander Brothers Ltd (ABL), headed by Guo Qi, to return compensation of some $1.8m to Alstom. The court referred the case to the Versailles court of appeals where a future victory by the latter would open the door to prosecution against Alstom for corruption.
