Former Saudi regional governor Mansour bin Mohammed bin Saad Al Saud is establishing himself as the kingdom's political and commercial interface with Pakistan. His knowledge of the Pakistani business ecosystem, particularly in cyber and intelligence technologies, and his ties to the discreet subcontractors of Pakistan's most powerful intelligence service, make him particularly well-suited.

The Chinese embassy in the United Kingdom (1/2) – Chinese ambassador to London, Zheng Zeguang, has disappeared from public life since August. Sources have linked his prolonged absence to the sudden fall from grace of the former head of the Chinese Communist Party's powerful International Department, Liu Jianchao .

To improve its operational efficiency, the opposition National Unity Government is moving to bring closer together the intelligence services of its home affairs and immigration ministry and of its defence ministry.

The fate of the consultation launched by France's DRM to strengthen its geopolitical analysis in a turbulent world remains uncertain. Despite submitting bids in early July, potential contractors for the Piranha programme are still at a loss, with some questioning whether it has a future.
