French engineering schools call off partnership with Chinese military-linked Beihang University

Citing concerns of academic freedom, officials of the INSA group of elite French engineering schools decided in July to scrap plans for a partner institution in China, which had been slated to open this month in coordination with aeronautics specialist Beihang University.
