MI6 cleared in probe examining UK's role in post-9/11 CIA interrogations

Following a two-year investigation, a panel of judges at the Investigatory Powers Tribunal has found no wrongdoing by the UK government, though the latter admitted to being "too slow" in the 2000s to appreciate the nature of US enhanced interrogation techniques.

Paris-Manila (1/2) – New opportunities for cooperation between France and the Philippines are emerging, particularly in the field of maritime surveillance, even though a major contract for French shipyard Naval Group appears to have stalled.
