Pakistan spy chief strengthens military's influence internationally

The appointment of Inter-Services Intelligence boss Asim Malik as Pakistan's National Security Adviser has further extended the military's influence, both at home and abroad. From the US to neighbouring enemy India, he has become the point man for the most strategic issues.

The Ukrainian SBU internal intelligence service has launched investigations into several Chinese companies, including Xi'an Tianmao and telecoms giant Huawei, which it suspects of collecting sensitive data and infiltrating the locally-designed drone ecosystem.
