Bahrain eyes Thales' radars

To strengthen its air defence capabilities, Bahrain has its sights set on the French technology group's best-selling radars. The kingdom's planned acquisition from Thales comes on the heels of a defence agreement signed between Paris and Manama in February.

Amid fears of Ukrainian strikes, the annual Victory Day parade in Moscow on 9 May has been scaled back to the bare minimum. Foreign guests, among whom Pierre de Gaulle, have still been invited to attend.
