Lieutenant General Jeffrey A. Kruse will be sworn in as the new director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) on 2 February at its headquarters at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, according to our sources. The US Air Force (USAF) officer is taking up his new post several months late, and already has a full political agenda.

Among the first issues he will have to deal with is the supervision of a classified report on the influence of China and Russia in Latin America, due to be submitted
